Social Engineering

Social engineering is an attack vector that relies heavily on human interaction and manipulation. Often involving multiple steps, attackers convince end users to break security protocol to manipulate vulnerabilities inside an organization. Most common types of Social Engineering are Phishing, Pretexting, Spear Phishing, Baiting, Spoofing, Vishing, and Smishing with the end goal being human error that leads to the end user giving away sensitive information or credentials.
